My take on
HyperFrames (heygen-com/hyperframes) after testing it hands-on:
- ✅ It works for real. One sentence to Claude Code got me a finished vertical Short, rendered on a plain CPU Linux box.
- 🎬 The output looks like a motion designer made it: bold type, animated star counters, progress bars, a play-button end card.
- 🐢 It's slow. 15 minutes for the agent to build it, then about 2.5 minutes to render (no GPU).
- ⚠️ Needs Node 22. On Node 20 it refuses to start. The error message is clear, at least.
- 🔒 Telemetry is on by default (
hyperframes telemetry disable), and init installs agent skills globally in ~/.agents/skills.
- 👍 Great fit for creators who already use Claude Code. Not instant, and not for anyone stuck on old Node.
